A HAND TO HOLD PRESCHOOL & CHILD CARE
A licensed child care facility assisting parents to enter the workforce by caring for children
6 weeks to 6 years (pre-kindergarten), with special emphasis on W-2 participants.

Location: 
First Baptist Church

247 Wisconsin Ave
Waukesha, WI
Hours:  6 a.m. -  5:45 p.m.

Volunteer:  Provide supplies to help supplement daily need.

CLOTHING SHOP
Donated clothing is given to needy men, women and children of Waukesha County.  Clients shop

for casual clothing for the entire family.

Clothing suitable for business environments or customer service jobs is also available.

Proof of residency is required (i.e. driver's license, utility bill, etc.). 

A voucher form from a referring organization is also acceptable. 

Guidelines for limits on clothing are posted at the check-in counter.

We offer layettes for new mothers.

Mon. through  Fri.  noon - 4 p.m.

Tues. &  Sat. 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.


Wed.  6:30 p.m. -  8:00 p.m.

Volunteer:  Groups needed to sort clothing or collect socks & underwear; individuals needed to assist clients with shopping or sort clothing.

Donate:  Casual clothing for men, women & children.

Business suits & business casual clothing, women’s suits.

Day Drop-in Shelter

A safe respite from the cold or oppressive heat is available to those homeless indivduals who seek shelter during the day.  Housing and job hunting assistance available,

A warm lunch is also available as well as breakfast items and coffee.

Mon. through Fri.  9:00 a.m. -    4:00 p.m.

Volunteer:  Assist with computer needs.

Donate:  Food items and assist with meal prep.  Fruit items especially needed.

GOOD SAMARITAN FUND
The Director of Social Ministry provides financial assistance for rent, security deposit, or transportation for employment.  On-going supportive counseling available.

LEGAL SERVICES
Free legal services are provided for those who are eligible from Legal Action of Wisconsin that can help with landlord/tenant issues, bankruptcy, SSI, SSD or family law.  Call to inquire.

OUTREACH MEALS
Nutritious meals are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Church volunteers from throughout Waukesha County prepare and help serve meals, and foster a community spirit.

Serving Days:  Mon., Wed. and Fri.
Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.

Volunteer:  Adult groups to serve meals & clean-up.

Donate:  Food, paper items, cleaning supplies.

OUTREACH NURSE
In partnership with Waukesha Memorial Hospital, a parish nurse assists our guests in identifying health concerns.  She helps them seek appropriate and effective services.

PROJECT MOVE
We offer furniture, bedding, and various household items for individuals and families.

Location:

Waukesha, WI
Hours:
Mon. through Fri.  8:00 a.m. -  4:30 p.m.

Volunteer:  Pick up or deliver furniture.

Donate:  Household items for kitchen, bath and bedroom plus furniture.
