Green Power Garden Needs Your Help!
Green Power Garden, a community project to provide fresh produce to clients of Hope Center and the Waukesha Food Pantry needs volunteers to help harvest! Tomatoes, peppers, beans, kohlrabi, squash, onions and more are growing in the garden, which was created and is maintained solely by volunteers.
Times Volunteer Groups are Needed
- Tuesday evenings 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon
How to Sign Up Your Group
If your group would like to volunteer, contact Laurie at 262.549.8726 or ljendusa@hopecenterwi.org. If you are an individual who would like to volunteer, Laurie will connect you with one of the groups that is already scheduled .
Location
The garden is located in Waukesha near the intersection of Hwy 164 and County I in Waukesha. Sepcific directions will be given when the group is scheduled.
Because the garden is located on private property, it is important that we schedule groups of harvesters. Please be respectful of the homeowners who are generously hosting the project.
Note: Parking is available in the driveway nearest the garden. Restrooms are not available onsite.

A project lead will be on hand to lead and assist the group.
Weekly tasks include watering, weeding, and maintaining plants and beds as needed. When volunteering, your group will be assisted by a lead volunteer who is familiar with the garden and location of hoses, tools, etc.
